Our real world seems to be recreated by our preceding image; every situation of our life seems like a lighted stage direction without consciousness, the incongruity computer graphics of “the show house” on the flyers gives us seems to lie as it is in front of us as if it were a real scene, the windows of ʻlove hotelʼ seem like the imitation of the shape, or rather they no longer seem to function. When we see the overwhelming scenes recreated precisely in front of us, we get to know it is possible that everything around us could be real and realize that how our reality is unclear, dangerous and uncertain. However, the reality with absolutes (with no doubt) confuses us. In the exhibition,“Unconscious Matsuri”, I try to reveal the fake, fiction, imitation and the stage direction which forms uncertain certainty. Is this reality as if your life would change into a festival without your noticing it consisted of by what? By facing the difference or the incongruity between image and reality (the difference is not only slight but also overwhelming) I see the moment when everything in our life would be real.
