Installation work, “Okunoto Oral Tradition Museum” Ongoing Collective presents in the Okunoto triennale. I interviewed some Indonesian interns of the technical intern training program in Suzu city. Suzu city is located at the northern end of Noto Peninsula and has a serious depopulation problem. I visited their dormitory, “PANDAWA HOUSE”, and interviewed them how they ended up coming to Suzu, what their dreams were, how the present situations of their lives and so forth. I consider the landscape of Suzu city the Indonesian interns see. At the same time, I carefully describe an unnatural feeling of the landscape of Suzu city where they exist. I research the landscape in Japan based on a documentary film. Actual notices borrowed from the interns are posted and group photos are displayed in the exhibition space modelled on the dormitory bedroom. Their real life shot in the PANDAWA HOUSE is displayed on each screen.

Six speakers, audio interface, TV monitor, iMac, Blu-ray player, curtain, futon, pillow, goza (woven reed mats), fishing boots, fisherman raincoats, PVC gloves, helmets, notices in PANDAWA HOUSE, eighteen photos, snacks, clothes, electric fan, etc.

Documentary of PANDAWA HOUSE is dormitory of fishing industry technical intern trainees from Indonesia. I shot the quite monents while they weretaking a nap int the day time.
